Emergency Room Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Location: Maryland (specific city not provided)

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend, and every other holiday.

Job Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing attentive and comprehensive care to patients in the emergency department. This position requires a strong foundation in emergency medical care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and triage patients based on clinical severity.
• Provide advanced life support and nursing care to patients with critical medical conditions.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy as needed.
• Perform patient assessments and document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
• Manage patients undergoing rapid evaluation and critical care interventions.
• Respond to medical emergencies and assist with advanced procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
