Direct Care Worker

Job Description

The Direct Care Worker provides essential support to individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role involves delivering compassionate care, assisting with medication administration, and supporting clients emotionally and physically in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily activities
Assist with medication administration as directed
Support personal hygiene and grooming needs
Accurately document care and report changes in condition
Manage crisis situations calmly and effectively
Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
Offer emotional support and foster positive communication
Collaborate with team members to ensure quality care
Attends residents outings
Transport residents occasionally to/from school, outings, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year experience in direct care
High School Diploma or equivalent GED
