Job Summary
Budget Car and Truck Rental is seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Shop Technician to join our team at the Memphis Airport location. In this important role, you will keep our fleet of cars and trucks in safe, road-ready condition through professional oil changes, tire repairs, and related maintenance services. This is a full-time, day-shift position (Monday–Friday) with no weekends required—ideal for candidates looking for stable, predictable hours in a fast-paced airport environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and fluid services on a variety of vehicles (cars and light trucks).
- Diagnose, repair, and replace tires using tire machines and balancing equipment.
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure fleet reliability and safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Complete required paperwork and maintenance logs accurately.
- Work efficiently as part of a team while meeting daily production goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as an oil and tire technician (automotive or fleet maintenance preferred).
- Hands-on proficiency with tire machines, tire repair tools, oil change equipment, and basic shop tools.
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record .
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen .
- Strong attention to detail, safety focus, and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions (as needed for airport operations).
