Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in executive compensation and employee benefits law, including equity plans, executive retention packages, and compensation arrangements in mergers and acquisitions. Strong analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently are essential. Duties Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis. Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including briefs and contracts. Assist in managing complex cases and transactions from inception to resolution. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative strategies. Participate in high-level legal activities such as hearings and negotiations. Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations. Engage in professional development opportunities. Contribute to firm programs and pro bono work. Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Good business and professional judgment. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Minimum of 1 year of applicable experience in an AmLaw 100 firm preferred. Education JD degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice in the state of California. Skills Attention to detail and organizational skills. Conceptual thinking and persuasive communication. Management skills.
