Line Mechanic LeadAlsip, ILCompensation IncludesStarting pay rate of $30 once in adjuster role - Paid weeklyAdditional $1/hour shift differential pay for night shiftNew hire bonus: $250 (paid at 60 days), $250 (paid at 90 days) and $250 (paid at 6 months)Available ShiftsDays: 5am-5pmNights: 5pm-5amResponsibilitiesProvide production support for the entire duration of the shiftMonitor/maintain and cover 2-3 production lines during shiftTroubleshoot and correct jams, misfeeds, timing issues, poor seals, and handling problemsSupports machine setup, order changes and operationsCoach and guide machine operator functions for consistent uptime and eliminate downtimeConducts preventative maintenance supports with cross functional teamsSet up equipment for product, size, print, and material changesAdjust guides, rails, belts, sensors, timing, tension, and registrationPerform rebuilds on reusable parts such as: glue nozzles, splash guards drum finger assembly etc.Submit accurate production reports daily and in a timely mannerComply with and enforce all safety policies and procedures, i.e.: proper PPE usage, machine guarding, LOTO etc. are following strictlyEnsure adherence to all quality practices and standardsFollow and enforce all GMP's and SQF requirementsSupport and recommend improvement strategies relating to safety, production output, and qualityMonitor product being run, making sure hourly samples are taken in order to inspect quality and catch any defects and unnecessary wasteOther miscellaneous duties as assigned by management, including food safetyQualifications5 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentComplete Level 1 and Level 2 Machine Operator on-site as a Junior Machine Adjuster to move into Adjuster Supervisor RoleAbility to lift 50 lbs2-5 years food/corrugated packaging machine experience preferredEffective listening, speaking & writing ability in person and on the phoneMust be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and quality instructions, and procedural manualsAbility to complete routine reports and records and write clearly and concisely, using good grammar and professional styleAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divideSelf managing with organization and time management skillsMust have good eyesight (no colorblindness) in order to spot flaws in color comparison, print set-up, etc. as bags or film come off the production lineCompany BenefitsBenefitsWith safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
