Medical Scribe
Mental Health Association of Rochester
Role: The Medical Scribe supports primary care providers by documenting patient encounters in real time, assisting with clinical workflows, and ensuring accurate, detailed medical records. Responsibilities: Documenting patient visits, coding with ICD-10 and CPT, preparing after-visit summaries, and supporting clinical documentation improvement. Also, assisting with administrative tasks like ordering referrals, addressing team needs, and reviewing medical records. Qualifications & Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology strong listening and communication skills computer literacy adaptability to workflows Fluency in additional languages and typing speed are preferred Key Attributes: Dependability, teamwork, positive attitude, ownership, and commitment to at least 1 year in role. Ability to work full-time hours, maintain excellent attendance, and adhere to HIPAA and safety policies are essential. Ideal for: Individuals seeking clinical experience, including pre-med students, and those interested in health informatics, medical coding, or healthcare administration.
