Infusion RN

Infusion RN Part‑time – Houston, TX, US Responsibilities Administer intravenous medications, fluids, and blood products according to physician orders and established nursing protocols. Aid physicians during examinations and procedures as needed. Monitor patients throughout infusion therapy to assess vital signs, evaluate treatment response, and manage any adverse reactions or side effects. Track and assist patients throughout their office visits to ensure continuity of care and positive clinical experiences. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care activities, including infusion records, medication administration, and progress notes. Update patient charts and maintain accurate electronic records using the practice’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Prepare, clean, and restock patient care areas, equipment, and infusion tools to maintain readiness and compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure treatment goals are met. Ensure strict adherence to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols to protect both patients and staff. Assist in the maintenance and organization of infusion supplies, medications, and equipment, ensuring adequate inventory levels. Participate in team meetings, staff development activities, and quality improvement initiatives to support continuous practice excellence. Qualifications Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Georgia (RN preferred). Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. At least 2 years’ experience in a fast‑paced infusion suite. Required Skills & Abilities Experience with EMR systems. Proficiency in IV therapy, including the administration of biologics and the management of central venous access devices (CVADs). Prior experience in infusion, rheumatology, or specialty care settings preferred. Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
