Multi-family HVAC Project Manager

Job Description

About AER Systems

AER Systems is a technology-enabled HVAC/mechanical contractor based in Carlsbad, CA, holding a C-20 license and SDVOSB/DVBE certification. We work across construction, service, and a proprietary asset-intelligence platform (AERIQ) — combining hands-on craftsmanship with modern tools to build smarter, more reliable systems. We're growing fast and looking for a Project Manager who wants to build something, not just manage a punch list.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced HVAC/mechanical Project Manager with a multifamily construction background to own project delivery from preconstruction through closeout. You'll work closely with our Director of Operations, subcontractors, and general contractors to keep jobs on schedule, on budget, and built right.

What You'll Do

\n
• Own the full project lifecycle for multifamily and commercial HVAC installations — scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and closeout
\n
• Coordinate subcontractors, field crews, and suppliers to keep jobs moving
\n
• Serve as the primary point of contact for GCs, owners, and clients on assigned projects
\n
• Track project costs and flag budget risk early
\n
• Ensure jobsite safety and quality-control standards are met
\n
• Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed
\n

What We're Looking For

\n
• 3+ years of Project Management experience in HVAC/mechanical contracting
\n
• Multifamily construction background strongly preferred
\n
• Experience with California prevailing wage / public works projects a plus
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll be the face of AER to clients and GCs
\n
• Comfortable owning a job site independently and making decisions in real time
\n
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
\n

Compensation & Benefits

\n
• Salary: $95,000–$115,000 DOE
\n
• Monthly vehicle and cell phone reimbursement
\n
• Paid time off, paid holidays, sick leave
\n
• Opportunity to grow with a fast-scaling, tech-forward contractor
\n
• Interested candidates should apply directly on LinkedIn or reach out to Josh Evans.
