Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience License: RN License in the state of Massachusetts Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Skilled in caring for critically ill patients requiring mechanical ventilation, titration of vasoactive and sedative medications, care of central lines and arterial lines, complex wound and drain management, and use of electronic documentation systems. Description: The unit provides care for a highly acute and complex patient population in a twelve-bed adult general surgical ICU. A collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care is emphasized. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced with a dedication to education. There are opportunities for specialty-based certifications such as TNCC and CCRN. As registered nurses, the focus is guided by knowledge, enabled by skill, and motivated by compassion. Patients are the primary focus, and the delivery of care reflects that focus every day. There is a commitment to creating a healing environment that is safe and barrier-free.
