Overview Ending Hunger Corps is hiring a Food Systems VISTA for Healthy Lincoln County located in Damariscotta, Maine. The VISTA will help reshape the county’s food access system by creating sustainable mechanisms for food recovery, volunteer engagement, and early planning for the Darrows Barn Food Hub. By the end of the one‑year term, the VISTA will deliver durable systems such as volunteer onboarding tools, partner maps, communication workflows, and engagement frameworks that strengthen Lincoln County’s food security network. Member Duties Assist HLC’s Food Security Community Connector in operating and expanding local gleaning programs at commercial farms and through partnerships with food rescue groups. Develop and implement collaborative strategies for long‑term sustainability of the Lincoln County Gleaner (LCG) efforts. Enhance and expand HLC’s mobile food security distribution program for pantries and community partners by creating plans and processes for volunteers.
