Human Resources Manager

US Oncology

Overview SCRI Oncology Partners, located in Nashville, Tenn., is a dedicated cancer treatment practice led by globally recognized oncologists with disease expertise in cancer care and clinical research. The practice conducts clinical trials through their affiliation with Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), a global leader in oncology research that has been offering and managing clinical trials in the community for over 30 years. Manages the Human Resources issued policies, procedures, administration, projects, and staff. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include Code of Ethics and Business Standards and Shared Values. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides guidance on strategic and HR operational issues to management and develops new programs and initiatives to meet business needs. Researches, reviews, analyzes, and assesses the impact of alternatives and recommends business solutions to up line management. Partners with management to facilitate the delivery of HR services. Provides direction to improve organizational and/or employee effectiveness through successful talent management. May recruit, screen, and interview management/director candidates. Serve as escalation point for employee issues or employee relations issues. Impartially investigates, assess, and makes recommendation for resolution with company policies and mandated regulations. Manages projects, programs, administration, and communication related to recruiting, employment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, HRIS, etc. Increases productivity through assessment, planning, prioritizing, and automation. Maintains ongoing communication regarding employee relations, Practice initiatives, and business priorities with Practice Administrator and/or Executive Director. Responsible for directing and developing department personnel, capital, and operating budget as well as managing expenses within approved budget. Oversees and responsible for driving ongoing initiatives that directly impact employee engagement in correlation with the employee engagement survey process. Represents HR function on the management team and responsible for developing an HR agenda aligned with stated operational agenda(s). Builds, motivates, and binds together high performance teams through hiring or developing in‑house talent and providing them with a clear sense of direction as well as their individual responsibilities and personal objectives in achieving that vision. Ability to implement appropriate organizational structure, consistent with the organization's business objectives. Coaches and develops staff. Responsible for interviewing, recommending hires, assessing performance, recommending salary changes, and progressive discipline. Enforces adherence to USON policies. Directly supervises one Human Resources Generalist. Other duties as requested or assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Human Resources or similar discipline and at least seven (7) years Human Resources work experience required. At least two (2) years project management or supervisory experience required. PHR or SPHR strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Shows Work Commitment: Sets high standards of performance; pursues aggressive goals and works efficiently to achieve them. Commits to Quality: Emphasizes the need to deliver quality products and/or services; defines standards for quality and evaluated products, processes, and service against those standards; manages quality; improves efficiencies. Attract, coach and develop talent: Attracts high caliber people, accurately assesses strengths and development needs of employees; gives timely, specific feedback and helpful coaching; provides challenging assignments and opportunities for development. Leads Courageously: Steps forward to address difficult issues; puts self on the line to deal with important problems; takes ownership. Champion change: Challenges the status quo and champions new initiatives; acts as a catalyst of change and stimulates others to change; paves the way for needed changes; manages implementation effectively. Provides direction: Identifies goals and vision for team; guides individuals and teams toward priorities; clarifies roles and responsibilities of others; coordinates resources and arranges organizational systems to meet objectives. Negotiates effectively: Demonstrates ability to effectively facilitate parties toward a "win win" agreement; identifies key players; defines objectives, significant issues, and shared interests; determines motivational drivers and potential obstacles for all parties; communicates effectively; gains results without either party losing face. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be present at the practice site during regularly scheduled business hours and regularly required to sit or stand and talk or hear. Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing, sitting , or walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Work Environment: The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in‑person interaction with co‑workers and management and/or clients. Work may require occasional travel by automobile to other practice sites or extended travel by airplane to business functions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
