Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medicine Aide to join our team at Mount Airy Nursing and Rehab, a leading provider of post-acute care in Mount Airy, MD. As a Certified Medicine Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting our nursing staff, and ensuring the overall success of our rehabilitation and long-term care centers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed nurses with the delivery of patient care, including vital signs, bathing, grooming, and feeding
• Monitor and report patient conditions, vital signs, and medication administration to nursing staff
• Assist with transferring patients, turning, and repositioning patients to prevent bedsores
• Administer oxygen therapy, make beds, and assist with light housekeeping duties
• Participate in patient care conferences and document patient information accurately
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, families, and caregivers

Requirements:

• Current certification as a Certified Medicine Aide (CMA) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
