Job Description Skilled Machine Operator – Day Shift Fife, WA ⏰ Schedule: 2‑2‑3 Rotating | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pay: $–$ (DOE) Operate at the Core of Advanced Manufacturing Milgard Windows & Doors, part of the MITER Brands family, is seeking an experienced Extrusion Machine Operator to join our Vinyl Extrusion team on day shift . This role is ideal for skilled operators with 3–5+ years of experience who bring strong mechanical aptitude, hands‑on troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of continuous manufacturing processes. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining equipment performance, ensuring product quality, and supporting production efficiency in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do Operate and monitor 1–3 PVC extrusion lines to meet production, quality, and safety standards Perform machine setups, tooling changes, adjustments, and troubleshooting Safely disassemble, clean, rebuild, and stage extrusion tooling using overhead cranes Conduct in‑process inspections and take precise measurements using calipers and gauges Identify and resolve machine, material, or process issues in real time Complete production documentation, including productivity reports, machine logs, bundle tickets, and work orders Assist with packaging and forklift operations as needed Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Comply with all safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures What You Bring 3–5+ years of machine operation experience, preferably in extrusion or continuous manufacturing Strong knowledge of PVC extrusion or similar industrial processes Proven mechanical and troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, SOPs, and safety procedures Experience performing quality checks and precision measurements Solid math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages) Forklift experience required; certification preferred Ability to work independently while supporting team production goals Strong communication skills and a safety‑first mindset Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move throughout a 12‑hour shift Ability to lift and maneuver materials using proper equipment and assistance Comfortable working around industrial machinery Why Join Milgard Competitive pay for skilled operators: $25–$28/hr DOE Stable 2‑2‑3 rotating day‑shift schedule Advanced manufacturing environment with a strong safety culture Clear opportunities for skill growth and career advancement Part of a team that values craftsmanship and continuous improvement Apply today and put your experience to work with Milgard Windows & Doors—where skill and precision matter. #MITERpultvinyl What We Offer Our benefits package includes coverage of your health, wealth, and wellness for you and your eligible spouse/dependents.
