DevOps Architect

Job Description Role: DevOps Architect Location: Miami, FL Duration: 24 months (high possibility of extension) Job Responsibilities: Design and develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to support Bid & Proposal efforts and on‑going operations. DevOps leadership and IT Operations transformation experience with 80% packaged systems, 20% custom systems. Experience with technical planning, deployment, integration, test/validation, and configuration of Commercial‑off‑the‑Shelf (COTS), and custom software in both the Linux and Windows operating environments. Strong practical Linux and Windows‑based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment (AWS, Azure, VMware, etc.). Lead technical solution development for Bid & Proposal efforts. Create technical estimates to support Bid & Proposal efforts. Support the development of reusable solutions for software intensive work efforts. Job Requirements: Minimum of 3 to 5 years design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns. Minimum of 3 to 5 years managing an IT Operations environment. Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ hands‑on experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Get, Chef, Ensile, Art factory, Service Now, Sonar, Selenium. Minimum of 5 years of experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery and release of software. Minimum of 5 years’ experience with managing teams including progress monitoring and reporting. Minimum of 5 year of experience working in an Agile delivery environment. Minimum of 5 year of experience with Linux (writing shell scripts). Minimum of 3 years' experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Java, Perl, Ruby, or Python. Preferred Skills: 5 years of DevOps leadership and transformation experience. Environment Monitoring tools. Candidate should have experience leading a multi‑disciplinary teams, working in a fast paced, high velocity agile environment. Approaches and tooling for automated software assurance and QA. The use of Public/Private cloud and Virtualization Technologies. Experience with project or program management. Defining and managing the roadmap for implementation of DevOps in an established operation. Working within a structured environment, including the use of structured methods and approaches and modern development tools. Experience of technical architecture – i.e. the design and delivery of IT systems for a broad range of clients. Service support – the use of DevOps, Continuous Delivery and ITIL concepts to lead an effective support operation. In‑depth knowledge of technology trends and standards, both from a business and technical viewpoints. Certifications in AWS or Azure highly preferred. We also offer group health insurance.
