Position Summary: Actively supervise students at all times and assist with designated student disciplinary tasks at the direction of the Building Principal.

Essential Functions:

• Supervise students (before school, during class changes, during lunch, and after school).
• Supervise students at extracurricular activities and school-sponsored events both on and off campus.
• Enforce discipline and attendance rules and assist administrators with discipline, as needed.
• Dispense student discipline for tardies, truancy and other infractions as designated by the Building Principal.
• Follow up with students who miss detention, in-school suspension, and/or Saturday School.
• Provide frequent and consistent contact with parents about discipline and initiate positive feedback with and about students.
• Promote and protect the welfare and safety of students and staff.
• Supervise emergency drills and submit documentation, as appropriate.
• Assist with monitoring security protocols and procedures of facilities on campus.
• Report to the proper authorities any cases of suspected child endangerment, neglect, or abuse.
• Report, investigate, and address suspected bullying as required by Arkansas law and district policies.
• Adhere to all policies of the District.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Skills & Abilities:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree Required, Field of Study: Education
• Master's Degree Preferred, Field of Study: Education
• Experience: Previous teaching experience required.
• Computer Skills: Shall be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of proficiency with computers and programs associated with the position.
• Certifications & Licenses: Current Arkansas teaching license required. Current Arkansas teaching license as a building administrator preferred. Must meet all state and federal requirements for the position.
• Other Requirements: 1. Successful completion of pre-employment background checks. 2. Appropriate personal and professional conduct at all times around students, staff, and the general public.

Work Environment: Most activities are indoors in a typical school environment. However, some outdoor activity can be expected on most days. When this occurs, extremes of heat and cold and other weather patterns can be experienced depending on the season and the activities involved. The noise level in schools can range from low to very high, depending on the activities involved.
