Intervention Specialist

Intervention SpecialistDuties include assessing levels and needs of students and gathering evaluative data, developing and implementing IEPs based on evaluation and assessment. Provide instruction to students with developmental disabilities. Provide instruction in approved or adopted curriculum areas. Develop and implement approved behavioral plans. Develop and implement daily lesson plans consistent with students' Individual Educational Plans and the Ohio Extended Standards.Qualifications/Requirements include holding appropriate certificate/license as required by the Ohio Department of Education; Intervention Specialist, preferably in the area of moderate to intensive. Hold and maintain current certification in CPR and First Aid. Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and abuser registry clearances. Any other training as required by the Ohio DODD or county board policy. Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity & contributing to an inclusive working environment. Ability to engage others with understanding & empathy.Salary: As in negotiated agreement. Hours: 35 hour week, (Normally 8:30am 3:30pm, M-F during school year)This position involves working with children and/or young adults who have developmental disabilities.
