Sewing Machine Operator

7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Pay Rate: $15.00/hour

Operate single or double-needle industrial machines, guiding materials along edges or markings, and inspecting finished items for quality defects. Requires basic machine setup, thread replacement, and adherence to safety guidelines.


Key Job Responsibilities

• Operate Equipment: Run industrial single-needle, double-needle, or serging machines to join, reinforce, or bind materials.
• Material Handling: Align and guide fabric or industrial textiles under the needle using edges, seams, or clamp guides.
• Quality Control: Check finished work for loose threads, skipped stitches, or material flaws, and trim excess thread or fabric.
• Machine Maintenance: Change bobbins, load thread spools, and perform basic daily upkeep or troubleshooting on equipment.
• Record Keeping: Complete production logs, work orders, and safety checklists as required by plant supervisors.

Typical Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Prior hands-on experience with industrial sewing machines or textile manufacturing.
• Physical Skills: Good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to sit or stand for long production shifts
