Responsibilities

• Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store
• Assist customers with the loading of their vehicle
• Maintain a sufficient quantity of carts
• Maintain a clean working environment and personal workspace
• Engage in conversation with the customer to add a personal touch to each and every interaction.
• End every customer interaction by saying "Thank you"
• Ability to be organized, multi-task and maintain all aspects of a support role.
• Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
• Ability to work independently and with the team
• Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to customers and other employees
• Demonstrates strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Strong initiative and vision for continuous improvement while contributing to a positive team atmosphere
• Exercise judgment and tact while working with customers or co workers
• Strong oral/written communication and reading skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all levels of the organization
• Work assigned schedules which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Assist in all other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team and Cashier Leads

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and or 1-3 months of cashiering experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

• Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Heavy work Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
