About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join their mission-driven and innovative organization. The CISO will be responsible for leading the security organization, setting strategic priorities for security initiatives, and ensuring the implementation of security best practices. This role requires executive leadership experience, direct experience in leading a security team in a highly regulated industry, and a strong background in global security regulations and compliance. The successful candidate will be a key representative of the company, both internally and externally, and will be expected to have a deep understanding of security and privacy frameworks, particularly in the context of cloud security and SaaS environments. Candidates for the CISO position at the company should possess a BS or MS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience, and have a proven track record of executive-level communication, team leadership, and a positive, productive leadership culture. Experience as an individual contributor at the engineer level in security or software engineering is also a requirement, as is expertise in cloud security, especially with AWS. The role demands a leader with the ability to work with global teams and a background in serving as an executive expert in security for both internal and external stakeholders. While not mandatory, industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CSM are considered a plus.
