Facilities Maintenance Technician
To ensure that all school facilities, grounds, and building systems are maintained in a safe, sanitary, and operational condition in accordance with Board policy, administrative regulations, and applicable local, state, and federal requirements, including NJQSAC standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid New Jersey driver's license required
- Black Seal Fireman's License preferred or ability to obtain within one (1) year
- CDL with appropriate endorsements preferred or ability to obtain
- Demonstrated experience in building maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related trades
- Knowledge of occupational safety practices (PEOSH/OSHA), Right-to-Know, and safe equipment operation
- Criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions
