Job Title: Shipping Coordinator
Location: Olathe, KS 66062
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Department: Logistics / Transportation / Supply Chain
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping Coordinator to support daily outbound shipping operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products are shipped accurately, on time, and in the most cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics coordination and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Job Summary
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing daily outbound shipments across multiple transportation modes including LTL, FTL, and parcel. This role works closely with warehouse teams, carriers, and internal departments while utilizing systems such as ERP, WMS, and TMS to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily outbound shipments (LTL, FTL, parcel)
- Schedule carrier pickups and manage dock appointments
- Prepare and review shipping documents including BOLs, packing lists, labels, and invoices
- Utilize ERP, WMS, and TMS systems to release orders and track shipments
- Consolidate shipments to optimize freight cost and efficiency
- Support load planning and ensure execution aligns with shipping plans
- Communicate shipment status, delays, and issues to internal teams and carriers
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies or damages
- Maintain accurate records and reporting within logistics systems
- Collaborate with warehouse, customer service, and transportation teams
- Support KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or transportation coordination
- Experience using ERP, WMS, and TMS systems
- Knowledge of LTL, FTL, and parcel shipping methods
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
