Material Handler III

Material Handler IIIThe Material Handler III under general supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas.Essential Functions:Physically transfers materials, maintains bench stock, and handles completed assemblies/jobs between work areas or cost centers.Locates materials and expedites part shortages within the plant that may be required for completion of assemblies.Verifies and maintains stock documentation and shortage reports.Utilizes small hand tools and operates material handling equipment including for lifts, skids, pallet handlers, hand trucks, and the like.May use computer applications and computers to maintain accurate material flow transactions.May provide work leadership to lower level handlers.Assist with shipping and/or receiving responsibilities.Assist in establishing guidelines and procedures by which material handling function operates.Records movement of incoming and outgoing material and supplies and verifies the accuracy of work performed.May operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.May provide work leadership and training to lower level Material Handlers.Other duties and projects as assigned.Position Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentStrong reading, writing and numerical/math skillsComputer knowledgeAt least four years related warehouse/stockroom/receiving experienceSkills and Abilities:Detail OrientedGood organizational and multi-tasking skillsProblem Solving/AnalysisTime management and task completion skillsTeam Player
