Public Relation Communication Admin Services Clerk – Community Liaison This role will be the primary contact and coordinator for plant tours and community involvement. In addition to the administrative coordination, the incumbent will be responsible for accompanying tour groups through the plant while communicating plant specific information to customers, trade groups, and other community organizations. This role is responsible for fielding inquires related to our social responsibility initiatives and attending community events as necessary. Perform various administrative and customer service duties. Position will report to the Human Resources Manager. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Coordinate and schedule plant tours to include: a. Scheduling tours at non-peak times to minimize the impact to operations b. Acting as a liaison between mill leadership and groups requesting visits. Ensure proper personnel are invited to and involved in meetings c. Acting as a tour guide through production areas (accompany tour group, present department specific information and ensure visitor safety) d. Create and conduct professional presentations specific to the visitor group and in line with Gerdau’s branding standards e. Greet and direct visitors f. Coordinate all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) g. Entering the room reservation in Outlook, as well as setup and tear-down of the meeting room(s) h. Organize appropriate methods of transportation, including driving plant vehicles and ensuring the “visitor” vehicles are in good working order i. Order and maintain swag or give-away items specifically for visitors j. Responsibility for food and meal orders including placement of orders and necessary clean up k. Entering visitor gate passes 2. Act as the primary contact for social responsibility initiatives: a. Coordination of routine social responsibility meetings b. Keeping meeting notes and tracking of requests c. Acting as the liaison for community groups, fielding calls, emails and other outreach activities d. Conduct professional presentations e. Coordinate and attend community events f. Respond to requests for information from the community and/or Gerdau locations g. Order and maintain inventory of swag or give-away items 3. Assist departmental leadership with large scale third-party visits, including annual summits, horizontal committee meetings, trade groups, special events, et. 4. Effectively manage budget spend related to social responsibility and public relations 5. Various administrative tasks required to support the needs of multiple departments 6. Assist coworkers with projects as needed 7.
