Sales Representative page is loaded## Sales Representativelocations: Charlotte, NCtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R-101352**Job Description:****Essential Duties/Responsibilities:*** Identifies and generates new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation* Acts as the main point of contact for all builder matters, concerns and needs* Builds and strengthens client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships* Maintains accurate builder records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals as required* Develops a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients* Takes inquiries and requests from builders to address service needs* Stays on top of accounts, making sure they’re receiving services that are within their budget and meeting their needs* Meets regularly with other members of the team to discuss progress and find new ways to improve service to builders* Generates progress reports to give to Sales Manager and leadership* Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities and communicate with the sales team regularly* Keeps management informed on competitive positions and action as well provide feedback on competitive positioning* Keeps Senior Management informed of activities and progress toward established sales goals & objectives* Completes required reports and related documents promptly and accurately. Ensure the accuracy of all reports and accounting records* Continually searches for ways to improve results and effectiveness* Follows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety* Other duties as assigned**Minimum Requirements:*** 1+ years of sales or related experience* High school diploma or GED* Intermediate computer skills and able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)* Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Valid driver's license required* Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekend hours may occasionally be required.**Preferred Qualifications:*** 3-5 years of sales experience within a construction/HVAC or home services environment* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and receiving positive feedback**Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Consultative and collaborative selling approach* Ability to follow through on commitments to customers, internal and external* Must be organized and able to coordinate a large volume of requests* Proactive mindset* Mechanical aptitude* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Strong work ethic and ability to demonstrate consistent and effective leadership behaviors* Capable of making good judgments/decisions.* Willingness to learn and be a part of a team* Positive attitude and a team player* Ability to build positive relationships with customers, both internal and external* Willingness and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.* Safety mindset and acceptance of a safety culture* Related experience may be substituted for education**Working Conditions:*** Partial time spent in an open office environment* May be exposed to construction environments involving equipment, elevated work areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials and odors* Fast-paced environment* Travel by vehicle to and from work locations* Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE**Physical Requirements:*** Must be able to lift/move up to 20 pounds frequently* Frequently performs tasks requiring bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching* Must be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift* Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves and safety toe, construction-grade work boots* Must be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting* Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to operate phones or other equipment safely.* With natural or corrected vision, able to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception* Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others* Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad* Must be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push and pull objects and toolsAirtron is an equal opportunity employer.
