INE Temporary Research/Technical Technicians

The Temporary Technician provides essential technical and operational support to departmental projects, research activities, and day-to-day operations on a short-term or seasonal basis. Working under the guidance of supervisors, faculty, researchers, or project managers, the Temporary Technician assists with a variety of activities that may include field work, laboratory support, equipment operation and maintenance, data collection, inspections, testing, and project implementation.

This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a technical environment while contributing to meaningful projects and organizational goals. Successful candidates will develop practical skills, technical knowledge, and professional experience while working collaboratively with teams to support the department's mission and objectives.

Successful Temporary Technicians are dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to completing high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical aptitude, follows established procedures, and is comfortable working in environments that may include field sites, laboratories, facilities, or other operational settings.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma
Drivers license preferred

Position Details:

This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks Alaska. This is a part or full-time, non-exempt staff position. Compensation is determined based on education and experience.
