This position is responsible for basic park maintenance duties including landscaping, groundskeeping and event set‑up/breakdown. Under supervision, performs routine work in the care and maintenance of outdoor areas such as park grounds, recreational areas, lawns, playgrounds, and plant beds including tree work, fall clean‑ups, and snow/ice response; maintains and repairs park infrastructure such as benches and fences; participates in event set‑up and breakdown; operates and performs minor maintenance on a variety of equipment, tools, and machinery used to care for and maintain grounds; performs trash management and other related maintenance duties as required. Work hours: Monday through Friday 7am – 3:30pm pm plus mandatory and voluntary overtime; this is an essential personnel position. Requirements Age: minimum of 18 years of age. License: Appointees must possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey. Education: Graduation from high school, vocational high school, or possession of an approved high school equivalency certificate. Experience: One (1) year of experience in landscaping or park maintenance, including operation of ride‑on equipment and trailer towing. Preferred: Related coursework, certification or degree in one of the following areas: turfgrass, horticulture, groundskeeping, park and recreation management. #J-18808-Ljbffr NJAC Foundation
