Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist

Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist
Under the administrative supervision of the Team Lead/Program Director, this position is responsible for developing and implementing the treatment plan, based on the strengths and expressed needs of the child and his or her parents. This is an at-will direct service position within a program. The position is responsible for assisting and advocating for our members in all areas of treatment and helping them apply for and receive services.
Essential duties and responsibilities include working in partnership with the provider and the parents, completing intake paperwork, conducting behavioral and strength assessments, facilitating meetings with the child, family, lead provider, and other stakeholders, collaborating on treatment plans, assisting the family and lead provider in the implementation of the treatment plan, implementing performance outcome evaluations, enlisting the involvement of formal and informal community resources to support the family, seeing the family weekly, developing discharge planning/transitional services, maintaining required records, providing prompt intervention in the event of a crisis, attending to the safety, health, and well-being of clients, and attending child/family team meetings at other lead provider agencies as needed.

Minimum qualifications and certifications include an AA degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience, or a Master's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience. Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements: California driver's license & current vehicle insurance/registration if driving; and, reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old, excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport, inclusive of bicycles, mopeds, and motorcycles.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM with schedule flexibility based on the program's needs. Compensation: $24.00 -$26.50 an hour.
