Job Title: Mobile Tire Technician Department: Maintenance Country: United States of America State/Province: California City: San Bernardino Full/Part Time: Full time Job Summary: Under general supervision, this position is responsible to properly installing and inspecting tires on company tractors and trailers on customer sites and rail yards. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance. Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Install and inspect tires on tractors and trailers using Company guidelines Observe all Company safety requirements Performs other duties as assigned Organize and maintain tire inventory for trucks Ensure compliance of safety policies including all safety and OSHA requirements while at a customer facility or rail yard Right after key responsibilities: Shift Schedule: Shifts may vary based upon location and business needs. Hunt’s Technician Career Advancement (TCA) program Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed Must possess a valid drivers license and ability to pass J.B. Hunt standards for operation of a company vehicle Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 6 to 12 months in tire related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid drivers license and ability to pass J.B. Hunt standards for operation of a company vehicle. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team (no direct supervision) Ability to multitask Ability to exercise discretion Basic deductive reasoning skills Experience working in a fast-paced environment Proficient active listening skills Proficient organizational skills Proficient time management skills Self-motivation Ability to fulfill physical requirements of the job including: lifting above 50 lbs.., bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE) Ability to make time-sensitive decisions The expected starting pay range for this position is between $21.62 - $24.89 . Compensation: Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
