Required Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have the patience, empathy, and compassion needed to care for elderly patients
• Ability to work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proved direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
• Document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve daily living skills and promote overall health.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in patient care meetings and contribute to team discussions on best practices and treatment outcomes.
