Float Phlebotomist

Job Overview LabCorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Austin, TX. The position requires working Monday‑Friday with varying hours from 7:00am to 7:00pm, with potential overtime and rotating weekends. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform necessary administrative and clerical duties. Travel to various clinic sites. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital environment. At least 1 year of experience assisting patients of all age groups (pediatric to geriatric). Current or prior LabCorp experience. Additional Job Standards Cover sites in Austin, TX and surrounding areas (up to 75miles). Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Be 21years of age or older with a clean driving record. Have reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Deliver exceptional customer service. Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills. Work independently or as part of a team. Work well under minimal supervision. Compensation & Incentives Float incentive: $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Phlebotomists may be eligible for the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which offers a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k) plans.
