The Employment Specialist supports youth ages 16–24 in achieving competitive, integrated employment and educational goals through person-centered, culturally responsive employment planning, coaching, and skill development. This role promotes youth voice, self-sufficiency, and career readiness while advancing equitable access to workforce and post-secondary opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, social work, youth development, or vocational Rehabilitation or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years experience working with youth experiencing homelessness
• Training in youth development, harm reduction, and/or trauma informed care
• Familiar with computer programs and database systems.
• Use of personal vehicle for agency business.
• Adequate communication skills.
• Ability to document accurately and complete case noting and reporting.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Comply with Lutheran Social Service's standards of confidentiality.
