Job Description The Business Partner – New Starter and Visas primary role will be responsible for oversight of the onboarding program and managing legal compliance for work authorizations. The Business Partner is responsible for providing administrative support to the People &Culture department while continuously setting an example of our OGC values of care, respect, integrity, performance, andteamwork. Responsibilities: Manage visa and immigration processes by coordinating documentation, monitoring compliance, tracking expiration dates, and working with employees, managers, and external providers to support work authorizations Ensure all pre-employment requirements arecompleted Proactively coordinate New Starter Orientation Manage, track, and improve the first to 90 -day experience of all employees, liaising with People and Culture, department leaders, and newstarters Communicate regularly and effectively with colleagues to promote aharmonious working environment. Be aprofessional, motivated, and skilledperformer. Provides consistent guidance and adherence to Haile Gold Mine P&C policies, guidelines, procedures, programs, and philosophies.Communicate these policies, etc., as appropriate. Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work—Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish yourwork. Complies with all safety requirements and observes all company policies andprocedures. Key Result Areas/Tasks: Serve the primary point of contact between employees, people and culture, external immigration attorneys, and foreign governmental authorities Periodic internal immigration, E‑Verify, and I 9 audits Oversee all immigration processes to guarantee adherence to federal, state, and international labour regulations Develop and update onboardingcontent Ensure all people and culture employees are trained to execute onboardingtraining Coordinate all attendees effectively and efficiently Conduct check-ins with new employees in the 1 st week, 30 days, 60 days and 90 days Liaise with Senior Business Partners on any issues to coach leaders on new employee training and development Other tasks as allocated by the P&C Superintendents andManager Key WorkingRelations: People and Culture Senior BusinessPartners People and Culture Data andAnalytics People and Culture Talent Acquisition Qualifications Minimum Qualifications /Experience: Minimum Qualifications: Highschool diploma and administrative experience Preferred Qualifications: Previous immigration experience Certificate or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relatedfield. Safety: Demonstrate astrong focus on Health, Safety, and the Environment by: Complying with OceanaGold Health and Safety Policy and Environment Policy. Actively promoting safety awareness and environmental responsibility amongst company and contractpersonnel. Reporting all personal injuries and incidents and assisting with investigations. Actively supporting and participating in safety and environmental initiatives. Ensure open communication is maintained for all HS&E information. Maintain asafe and healthy work environment. Actively participate in the development of site‑specific safety Key Performance Indicators, then ensure the KPIs are driven by allmembers. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or relatedsoftware Ability to speak and teach alarge group ofpeople Proactive organizational skills Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization internally andexternally Proven ability to perform with accuracy andefficiency Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear, andsee. Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during theworkday. Work is in asurface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature andhumidity. Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in amine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment asrequired.
