Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist role based at Foothill Learning Center in Sylmar, CA. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children and young adults, using evidence-based therapy approaches. Daily responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering one-on-one and small-group therapy sessions, and documenting progress in a clear and timely manner. The role also involves collaborating closely with families, educators, and other clinicians to coordinate care, providing training and consultation to staff, and participating in team meetings and multidisciplinary planning. The Speech Language Pathologist will maintain compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards while contributing to a positive, learner-centered environment. Qualifications Strong clinical skills in Speech Therapy, including assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of individualized interventions. Expertise in evaluating and treating Speech and Communication Disorders across a range of ages and developmental profiles. Experience working with Language Disorders, including receptive and expressive language delays and disorders. Knowledge of Dysphagia assessment and management, including safe swallowing strategies and appropriate referrals when needed. Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California and current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY candidate status. Experience working in educational or pediatric settings, preferably in multidisciplinary teams. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills with learners, families, and colleagues. Ability to manage a caseload, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
