We connect you with verified openings from employers you can trust. Job Summary: Busek Co. Inc. is a pioneering engineering firm developing cutting-edge space propulsion and spacecraft technologies. They are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to support documentation needs across multiple engineering groups, creating and maintaining technical content that communicates complex designs and procedures with clarity and precision. Responsibilities:
- Work closely with engineers to create, revise, and maintain a variety of technical documents, including:
- Test plans and procedures
- Assembly and operations manuals
- Engineering specifications and datasheets
- Verification and validation documentation
- Internal knowledgebase articles
- Support the development of customer- and compliance-ready documentation for a wide range of propulsion systems and spacecraft subsystems.
- Ensure consistent documentation standards, version control, and clear traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Update and maintain documents based on test results, design changes, or customer feedback.
- Participate in design reviews and test readiness reviews to capture and communicate key decisions and actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in an engineering or aerospace environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering terminology, schematics, and system designs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document formatting tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat).
- Experience with document management systems and configuration control processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Exposure to technical hardware environments (e.g., cleanroom protocols, precision assemblies, pressure systems, or test labs).
- Knowledge of government standards (e.g., NASA-STD, MIL-STD, AS9100) for technical documentation.
- Familiarity with CAD software or image markup tools for diagrams and schematics (e.g., SolidWorks Composer or Visio).
