Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg Adult, Step Down

Any traveler not currently in possession of an active HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment. Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity.

General job duties include types of procedures required. Flex RN floats between various medical and surgical units. Shift or schedule requirements include 12-hour shifts - days (0645 to 1915) - scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours.

Equipment utilized in the unit/department includes Meditech EMR, pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes.

Required skills and minimum years of experience include 2-10 years' experience.

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required include BLS, ACLS (preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC).

Floating to other units/departments includes the Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit (on rare occasions).

Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept includes Medical - 77; Laulima (surgical Acute) - 18; Cardiovascular Unit - 15.

Nurse to patient ratio of this unit includes Medical 1:6 for days and eves, 1:8 for nights; Laulima 1:6; Cardiovascular 1:4. Ratio may vary due to unexpected leaves.

Dress code is professional nursing attire - clean scrubs.

Orientation time is provided for each unit.
