Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,222 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 40 Shift: 8 hours, days Employment type: Travel We are looking for a Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in New Orleans, LA. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Responsibilities Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients. Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders. Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events. Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines. Requirements Minimum 6 months of experience as an SLP (new graduates encouraged). ASHA‑SLP National Certification, BLS certification, and state‑specific licensure. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. Job ID: 1427736.
