About the Role:

The Food Service Worker/Cashier plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service within a retail food environment. This position is responsible for efficiently handling food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Additionally, the role involves managing cash transactions accurately and providing a friendly, welcoming experience to all customers. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of the food service area by collaborating with team members and responding promptly to customer needs. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food service or retail cashier roles.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and certifications such as ServSafe.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual skills to assist a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve food items according to established guidelines and customer preferences.
• Operate the cash register to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food service area, including dining spaces and equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
• Assist customers by answering questions, taking orders, and resolving any concerns in a courteous manner.
• Restock supplies and inventory as needed to support continuous service throughout the shift.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery.
