Schedule: Variable scheduling based on unit needs; orientation includes 72 hours; float to other Med-Surg Oncology units as needed

Highlights:

• 36-bed Medical-Surgical Oncology unit specializing in all solid tumor cancers across the full continuum of care
• Work with diverse patient diagnoses including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers
• Epic charting system required; experience with telemetry monitoring and infusion pumps
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with strong focus on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention
• One pre-approved time off period available during assignment

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent, acute care experience in Medical-Surgical Oncology (must be current and consistent within the last 12 months)
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required skills: Accessing/managing ports, administration of chemotherapy, blood product administration, central line blood draw, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, starting and maintaining IVs, tracheostomy care/management
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• 2 professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor; Charge RN acceptable for second reference
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signature
