Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments that encompass physical examinations and an in-depth exploration of medical histories
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by analyzing imaging and lab report findings
• Work closely with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
• Provide essential intraoperative support, such as setting up operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and delivering surgical instruments during operations
• Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, including administering medications, managing wound care, discharge planning, and patient education

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preferably completed clinical rotations focusing on surgical practices

Certification Requirements

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills Required

• Solid understanding of surgical principles and sterile techniques
