Senior Staff Accountant

Summary: The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining general ledger activity, preparing account reconciliations, supporting financial reporting processes, and managing accounting responsibilities related to commercial real estate properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for multiple commercial real estate entities
• Prepare journal entries and support monthly and annual close activities
• Review and monitor tenant move-ins and move-outs for assigned properties
• Analyze and interpret lease agreements, amendments, and related accounting impacts
• Ensure lease terms, charges, and tenant information are accurately maintained within accounting systems
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and related-party activity
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collections efforts
• Maintain organized documentation and correspondence related to tenant accounts and lease compliance
• Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and special accounting projects as needed
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Experience in commercial real estate accounting, construction accounting, or property accounting preferred
• Understanding of commercial lease agreements and related accounting concepts is highly desired
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
