Staff Accountant

Overview Vaco is partnering with a well-established organization in the Canton/Litchfield area that’s looking to add a StaffAccountant to their team. This is an in-office role offering strong exposure across the accounting function and a collaborative environment. Responsibilities This position will support day-to-day accounting operations and requires a solid understanding of core accounting functions, including the full purchase and sales cycle, accrual accounting, and how it ties into AR, AP, inventory, and cost of goods sold. It’s a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are key. Managing AP/AR, general ledger activity, and bank reconciliations Preparing financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) Supporting month-end and year-end close processes Preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records Handling account reconciliations, including intercompany and inventory Maintaining fixed assets Supporting audit and tax processes, including year-end workpapers Preparing and filing sales tax, fuel tax, and other regulatory filings Assisting with reporting and ad hoc projects Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related experience) 3–5 years of general accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation Experience with accounting systems (e.g., Great Plains, QuickBooks, JDE, Sage) Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills High attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaco Recruiter Services
