A sought-after contract opportunity is open for a dedicated Special Education Teacher with experience supporting K-6 students in a behavior-focused Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom. This engaging position is based in a dynamic elementary setting and runs through June 2027, offering the chance to build meaningful relationships with students while furthering your career in special education.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active California teaching credentials for Special Education (provide CTC screenshot with personal details redacted)
- Demonstrated expertise supporting students with behavioral challenges and Autism Spectrum Disorder, especially in an Elementary School setting
- Previous experience in an ESN (Extensive Support Needs) classroom preferred
- Strong classroom management, collaboration, and communication abilities
- Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive education principles
In this role, you will:
- Work onsite, supporting an elementary caseload of students in a behavior/ASD ESN classroom
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to ensure consistent support and growth for each child
- Track progress and behaviors, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
