Job Summary:

Vivo Healthcare Taylor is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our Physical Therapy team to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists with patient treatment plans, including exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and goals

• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist

• Provide patient education and instruction on exercise techniques, proper body mechanics, and self-care strategies

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination

• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress and treatment plans

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinic operations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in physical therapy assistant studies or related field preferred

• Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of Florida

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting; prior experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant or in a related healthcare field highly valued

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills
