Current Openings Position: Residential Counselor - New Pay Rate Location: Bennington, VT Job Id: 3012 # of Openings: 5 We’re Hiring: Residential Counselors – Bennington, VT Vermont Permanency Initiative (VPI) is hiring Residential Counselors for our Bennington, VT program to provide support and mentorship to youth in a therapeutic residential environment. What We Offer: Competitive Pay: $18.50–$21hr $1,000 Sign‑On Bonus (paid in two installments) 4‑Day Workweek – enjoy 3 days off! 4+ weeks PTO in your first year Paid training + internal career growth opportunities A team culture rooted in support, connection, and purpose Front Half (Sun–Wed): Sunday: 9 AM–11 PM Monday: 1 PM–11 PM Tuesday: 3 PM–11 PM Back Half (Wed–Sat): Thursday: 1 PM–11 PM Friday: 3 PM–11 PM Saturday: 9 AM–11 PM What You’ll Do: As a Residential Counselor, you’ll: Provide supervision, structure, and positive role modeling Support youth in building life skills, communication, and emotional regulation Assist with daily routines, behavioral support, and crisis intervention Engage youth in recreational, educational, and social activities What You Need: HS diploma or GED (college preferred) Experience working with youth or relevant Human Services coursework Must be 21+ Driver’s license preferred CPR preferred Ability to pass background and pre‑employment checks Why Bennington, VT?
