Receptionist/Accounting Support Assistant

$16 per hour
We are seeking a professional, organized, and welcoming Receptionist/Accounting Support Assistant team member for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Norfolk. In this role, you get the best of both worlds: you’ll be the friendly face greeting our visitors, while also utilizing your sharp eye for detail to support our accounting department.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

  • Be the First Impression: Serve as the primary front desk receptionist—greeting visitors, processing mail, and managing security check-ins.

  • Keep People Connected: Answer and seamlessly route incoming phone calls.

  • Support the Numbers: Assist the accounting department by preparing daily bank deposits and auditing/distributing Accounts Payable invoices (training provided).

  • Stay Organized: Name, file, and maintain digital documents to keep operations running smoothly.

What You Bring to the Table (Qualifications):

  • 1+ years of experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant.

  • Solid computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a highly professional demeanor.

  • Top-tier organizational skills and a sharp attention to detail.

  • The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

salary: $16 - $17 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary receptionist (greet visitors, process mail, and perform security check-in).
