Patient Access Rep- Healthcare for the Homeless Program (HCHP)

Job Summary Patient Access Representative is primarily responsible for completing an efficient and organized registration, admission, and insurance verification of all inpatients and outpatients. The role requires excellent customer service, ensuring accurate information is collected, informing patients of their rights per HIPAA regulations and Harris Health System policy, and ensuring all accounts contain comprehensive and accurate data to support timely billing and optimal reimbursement. ***This position is assigned to the Healthcare for the Homeless Program and will require travel within the Homeless program sites as the business needs dictate. These sites are located near the Downtown and South Houston area. *** Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. At least 1 year of experience in a customer service oriented environment. Communication Skills Above average verbal communication (heavy public contact). Writing and composing reports.
