Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. The clinician will prepare the operating room, sterilize and set up instruments and equipment, and provide direct support to the surgical team to promote patient safety and efficient case flow.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• BLS Certification.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a Surgical Technologist in an OR setting. (Client notes indicate 1 year minimum; standard job description lists 2 years. The client-specific requirement of 1 year is included.)
• Experience with Orthopedic, Vascular, and General Surgery cases.
• Experience working in a high-volume surgical environment and performing scrub duties.
• Experience with Cerner charting system.
• Willingness to take call as required by the unit.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a hospital operating room with multiple suites and hybrid rooms.
• Familiarity with total joint, spine, and urology cases.
• ACL S certification for RNs noted as required by client; for technologists BLS is primary. Listed here for awareness as a client preference for team composition.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1200–2000.
• Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week.
• Call required.
• Orientation: 12 hours.
• Charting/EMR: Cerner.
• Unit volume: approximately 6+ suites including a hybrid room, with 20–30 cases per day.
