Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN – Texas**Start Date:** September 22, 2026**Location:** San Antonio, Texas**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** Hospital clinical transitional unit setting; Patient ratio 5:1; 2 weekend shifts required per month; No on-call requirements; Day and night shifts available**Highlights:**- 10-bed Clinical Transition Unit providing care for ED, cardiac telemetry, and medical-surgical patients- Work with telemetry monitoring equipment and EKG machines in a collaborative team environment- Electronic medical records system: MediTech- Floating opportunities to ER Holds, Telemetry, Progressive Care, and Medical Surgical units- No invasive procedures performed on this transitional care unit- Supportive team structure with RNs and Patient Care Technicians on each shift**Requirements:**- Active RN license in Texas or compact state- BLS certification required- ACLS certification required- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment- Strong multitasking abilities and self-directed work style- Experience with emergency department, cardiac telemetry, and medical-surgical patients preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This Clinical Transition Unit provides an ideal environment for nurses who thrive in dynamic, patient-centered settings.
