1st or 2nd Shift | Job Shop Environment

About the Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll operate Haas and OKUMA CNC machines in a job shop environment that values precision, quality, and craftsmanship over high‑volume production. If you enjoy working on longer production runs and take pride in producing high‑quality parts, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate Haas and OKUMA CNC machines
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints
• Change tooling as needed to meet job specifications
• Perform quality inspections using micrometers and calipers
• Maintain consistent quality throughout extended production runs
• Follow safety and quality standards at all times

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills & Experience

• CNC Mill Operator experience (less than 3 years welcome)
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Hands‑on experience with micrometers and calipers
• Familiarity with Haas and/or OKUMA machines

Preferred (Not Required)

• CNC programming experience (Mastercam a plus)
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with milling processes and quality inspection

Work Environment & Schedule

• Clean, well‑organized machine shop with 24 CNC machines
• Primarily Haas equipment (mix of mills)
• Departments include machining, fabrication, assembly, packing, and welding

Shift Options

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM (optional Saturdays)
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
  • 10% shift differential for permanent 2nd shift

This is a Permanent position based out of Cary, IL.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Cary,IL.
