CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Aaron Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team. In this role, you will provide essential daily living assistance and personal care to our residents, helping them maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Key responsibilities include: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure Assist with ambulation, transfers, and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries Serve and assist residents during meals; monitor food and fluid intake Observe and report changes in resident condition or behavior to nursing staff promptly Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in resident rooms Respond to resident call lights and requests in a timely and compassionate manner Document care provided accurately in accordance with facility policies Participate in care plan meetings and follow individualized care plans Communicate respectfully and effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team Qualifications and requirements include: Active Connecticut CNA certification in good standing (required) High school diploma or GED preferred Previous long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience preferred CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; stand and walk for extended periods Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented What we offer: Competitive experience-based pay: up to $25.00/hr Per diem opportunities available Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid time off and holiday pay Continuing education and career advancement opportunities Supportive, team-centered work environment
